Character Concept - Berserker

This was a character concept submitted for the weekly challenge at www.theartposse.net/. I usually don't do tight line work due to the fact that my hand gets so sore during the process, sometimes to the point of being sore for days after. This submission reminded me again as to why I don't do it even though I find the process therapeutic.

Description: She's part of a tribe that has a strong connection to the spirits of the wild. Before a warrior of the tribe becomes a berserker they must hunt down their spirit animal they're attuned with to gain its blessing. For their weapon they must kill and take the weapon from the tribe's mortal enemy, a giant from the black-tooth tribe.

Weapon: A Giant's Short Sword

Spirit Animal: Stag/Deer

Berserker Description: When she goes berserk, her eyes glow a soft red while surrounded by a reddish aura. The antlers grow out and spikier and the fur on the fur-lined garments grows out long and stringy.
